"We raised £540 at the Scout Jumble sale on Saturday towards the fundraising efforts of local scouts off to the World Scout Jamboree in America next year. This is a fantastic amount of
money. Thank you to everyone for advertising this event, donating items and supporting the event on the day.
Much appreciated. Thanks again"
Due to some complexities around Tree Presevation Orders, this work will be delayed.
Would the people who remove the netting which closes the path (which we have now replaced) please understand we have done this for safety reasons. Your actions put not only yourself at risk, but also other parishioners.
A situation has arisen where a large branch has fallen from a tree in the Jubilee Path area, across the Jubilee path into Nahalsen Close. The large branch originally blocking the path has now been moved but we believe there is a risk of further branches falling - due to something we have been advised that affects Ash trees in very dry, hot weather called ‘Summer Drop’.
Work is being planned to remove the larger, heavier branches hanging over the path. Until then, warning signs have been posted at the entrances to the Jubileee path asking people to use an alternative route.
Additionally, as of 8-August-18, the IPC has chosen to close the path until work is carried out to make it safer. We have placed orange netting across both entrances. We know this will be inconvenient to those who regularly use the path, but we need to consider parishioners’ safety.
