There are currently four vacancies for councillors at present (May 2021), all in the Porton & Idmiston ward. The Formal Notice of Vacancies have been displayed on the three Parish Council noticeboards in the bus shelter at Idmiston, outside the shop at Porton and by the bus shelter in East Gomeldon. HOWEVER In an election year (2021) the Parish Council can co-opt members upto 35 days after the election ie until Wednesday 10th June 2021 without further advertsing of the vacancies required. Please read the person specification and application form below, if you are interested in becoming a member in the future, either by way of an election/by-election/Parish Council co-option. The IPC Grant Policy was adopted by the IPC at its meeting on 11 December 2017. We are now able to offer small grants to local organisations. For conditions see our policy below.
A grant is any payment made by the Council to be used by an organisation for a specific purpose that will benefit the Parish, or residents of the Parish, and which is not directly controlled or administered by the Council. The Council awards grants, at its discretion, to Parish organisations which can demonstrate a clear need for financial support to benefit the Parish by:
